The goal is to determine if T cell p38 activation plays a role in cancer. We have shown that it's activation in human pancreatic cancer is highly predictive of clinical course. Moreover, we have generated a small molecule inhibitor of this pathway that retards tumor progression in mouse models of pancreatic cancer.
