The goal of the proposed research is to estimate the risk of incident NMSC associated with cutaneous HPV and/or Merkel cell polyomavirus infections and to evaluate the role of ultraviolet radiation in the association between viral infections and NMSC. The proposed study will provide critical information needed for the future development of novel NMSC prevention strategies.
