André Veillette is interested in elucidating the molecular mechanisms that control the functions of immune cells, in particular immune cells known as "T cells" and "natural killer cells". He is using a combination of biochemical approaches and genetic studies in the mouse to understand how immune cells control health and diseases such as diabetes, lupus, immunodeficiencies and cancer.
