Dr. Igor Jurisica is a world-leading expert in informatics and cancer. This program will create tools and resources for systematically discovering clinically-relevant biomarkers of cancer. Prognostic, predictive and early disease detection biomarkers will be identified and characterized for lung, ovarian, pancreatic, head & neck, prostate, breast and kidney cancer and for melanoma and leukemia. These cancers represent a particularly grave health threat, and, through Dr. Jurisica's innovative drive, extensive network of collaborations and industry connections, represent high potential for effective follow-though and translation to improve patient care.
