Brigham Young University
Cancer immunotherapy is one of the leading fields of current cancer research. The potential to harness the immune system to combat cancer is an exciting and hopeful alternative to current treatment practices. In the O'Neill lab of Brigham Young University, cancer and immune system interactions are investigated, with the goal of understanding cancer immunosuppression and evasion tactics. Furthermore, alternative targets for chimeric antigen receptor therapies are being explored, as well as alternative mechanisms of immune modulation and activation.
